Match of the Day spinoff show MOTDx cancelled
|
Can't imagine why ....
BBC: MOTDx was hosted by Jermaine Jenas and featured football chat and interviews plus music, comedy and games
As well as players, its guests included musicians like Aitch, Self Esteem and Loyle Carner, and personalities including comedian Maisie Adam, DJ Reece Parkinson and former Love Islander Jordan Hames.

That's your opinion though. I think she's fantastic and I'm pleased they shove her in front of just about anything.

Yet again, you're completely missing the point.
No one is not watching because they don't like the ethnicity/gender/sexuality of the presenters, the problem is these presenters getting the gigs specifically because of being one or all of those things, and not because they are good at the job.
As an example, I doubt anyone would have a problem with Gabby Logan presenting anything, because she's really good. Alex Scott, on the other hand, no doubt a lovely girl, but by fuck she is appalling on TV, horrendously bad. Which is why people are turning off.

Don't you think it's a bit (extremely) weird that someone stops watching a programme because they don't like the ethnicity/gender/sexuality of the presenter?
Viewing habits/tastes have changed. Most of us are constantly on the internet so don't need a weekly 'magazine' show (and some like me were never interested anyway). That's why people aren't watching FF. They're not watching this other thing because it's targeted at an audience who don't want that programme. They tried; they failed.

Funny. Of all the excuses they bring out to blame the crash in viewing numbers having a black lesbian broadcasting to football fans never gets mentioned

Football focus is almost exactly what Marvel have done with their films and TV shows. Disregard their actual target audience who made them a success by concentrating on trying to make content for an audience they decide they want to pander to but who almost all don't actually give a shit about the content and never will. Net result you lose all your faithful audience by alienating them and you don;t make any gain because the people you're targeting just never cared.

Under its charter the bbc is required to present things for all ages, demographics etc so there are boxes to be ticked. I susoect this was commissioned by a bunch of middle aged white guys who thought they knew what the 'KIDS' wanted. Suspect their potential audience is small or doesnt watch much network tv
The debate on Football Focus is interesting Suspect the viewing audience has plummeted and the BBC doesnt want to admit that the previous audience thinks its turned to shit once the presenters have to be non-white, lesbian or preferably both.

They tried to make it urban and street and as usual, no one was interested in that shit so they turned it off.

Considering the BBC is paid for by the public, they should probably stop worrying about targeting a demographic, and concentrate on putting out quality content?

I don't think a single person on WHO is in the target demographic of the programme, so it's no great shock that none of us watched it or knew who the presenters are.
It's good to have different programmes for different demographics, but if that programme isn't something they want to watch then the BBC got it wrong.
It's like Soccer Am going. It's not what people want any more.

Debs - true, so we need to ask ourselves what has changed. Nobody objected to drag artists like Lily Savage but now it has become part of an agenda and gets shoved down everybody's throats. That may be an over-simplification of what is quite a complex issue, but the new approach behind it is very divisive.

I thought that the BBC had actually realised hiring ex - Sp*rs reserves meant that their input was too lightweight but then they had Michael Brown to accompany the customary bimbo on Final Score today

Only saw 10 minutes of it once and it was a painful, "never again" watch.

Good. My wife likes to watch Richard Osman's House of Games instead of the news programmes on other popular channels. Even they had a bloody trans on it which made me turn it off.
OK I'll suffer female presenters but the female pundits are so out of their personal experience levels that their comments sounds like WHOers deciding what Moyes and Aguerd did wrong and why Antonio is shit every week...
